Refunds

Cancellations, deposits, and the printout

These rules apply to the signature walkthrough, the account map sitting, and the library reading hour. They were revised on 21 September 2026. Think Compass sells seated time and preparation, and the refund follows that.

Eligibility

A refund applies to a deposit or balance you have paid for a session that has not been fully delivered. The person who paid, or the person named on the booking, may request it. Write from the email used to book so the desk can match the payment.

Timeframe and full or partial refund

If you cancel at least 72 hours before the confirmed start, the deposit and any balance already paid are refunded in full. If you cancel between 72 and 24 hours before the start, half of the sums paid is refunded and half is kept to cover the held seat. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, the sums paid are kept.

Non-refundable items

A printout packet that has already been retrieved and printed for your signature is non-refundable once printed, even if you cancel inside the full-refund window. The desk deducts ₩8,000 for that packet and refunds the rest according to the window above. Guides are not sold, so there is no guide fee to return. The Korean glossary sheet is included and has no separate charge.

Work already started

Once the session has begun, elapsed time is not refunded. If we stop early because the signature cannot be retrieved and you do not want a sample from the folder, the full amount paid is refunded. If you end the hour early after the reading has started, the seat rate for the booked duration is kept.

No-shows

If you are more than 20 minutes late, the desk may release the table to keep the rest of the day intact. That visit is treated as a cancellation inside 24 hours. Write if a transit delay caused it and you arrived the same day; the desk can move you to a later opening in the week when one exists, instead of keeping the whole fee.

Rescheduling

You may move a confirmed session once, without a fee, if you write at least 24 hours before the start and the new day falls within 30 days. A second move is treated as a cancellation under the windows above, followed by a new booking. We may reschedule you if a reader is ill. In that case you choose another time or take a full refund, including any printed packet that you do not want posted to you.

Deposits

The deposit is thirty percent of the quoted seat rate. It is refundable on the terms in this page. It is not a separate product. If the deposit has not arrived two working days before the visit, the hold lapses and there is nothing to refund.

How to ask, and how it is paid

Email hello@thinkcompass.click or call 0327736241 with the booking name, the session date, and whether you want a refund or a new time. The desk confirms the amount in writing. Refunds are sent to the same bank account that paid, within 10 business days after we confirm the amount. We do not refund to a card, because the room does not take card payments.

Materials

Wooden blocks, clothbound guides, and the sample-signature folder stay in the room. There is nothing of that stock to return or refund. Your pencil notes and the printout you already took home are yours to keep even when a later visit is cancelled.

Exceptions

If we cancel a session and cannot offer a time you accept within 30 days, you receive a full refund of what you paid, and any packet printed for that visit is either handed to you or omitted from the deduction. Mandatory rules for consumers in Korea still apply where they give you a stronger remedy.
